What the work involves

A kitchen or bathroom is never only joinery. Behind the units sit first-fix plumbing, electrics, waste runs, ventilation and often a structural change — removing a wall, moving a soil pipe, levelling a floor that has not been level since the house was built. Getting those right is what decides whether the finish lasts.

Kitchens

• Full strip-out and disposal, including asbestos checks where the property warrants it
• Removing walls and installing steel where you want the kitchen opened into the dining or garden space

• Floor levelling and screeding before any unit goes in
• Unit installation, worktop templating and fitting in quartz, granite or laminate

• Wet rooms with properly formed falls and tanking that is tested, not assumed

How we work

You get a written quote that sets out the work, the materials and the programme before anything starts. We protect the rest of the house, keep the site tidy at the end of each day, and tell you early if something behind a wall turns out different from what we expected — because on older houses it often does.

Most kitchens run two to four weeks; bathrooms one to two. Anything structural adds time, and we say so up front rather than discovering it halfway.
